Watching

This is another poem from back in college. My sophomore year, 2010, to be exact:

Watching

Time is valuable I think

Or is it imaginary in worth?

Ever moving

The irrelevant truth of

Liquor, bitter and warm

Blood flowing, pulsing

Like the tick of a clock

Getting drunk now

Soberness is restlessness

With impending doom

The high man may thing think a great thought

But of value it is not

A drunkard’s lullaby

A stoner’s dream

The flow of time will forever be

Forever…

Yet it signals the end

Let’s light that blunt up and wait

For time to be time again
